Hemangiopericytoma is an uncommon mesenchymal tumor originating from Zimmermann's pericytes. Hemangiopericytomas are usually found in the soft tissues of the thigh and retroperitoneum, while a thoracic location is rare. Surgical excision is the treatment of choice for hemangiopericytoma. These tumors are hypervascular neoplasms, thus the risk of uncontrollable intraoperative bleeding is high. We present two cases of hemangiopericytoma on the chest wall. The first case was admitted to our hospital with a growing mass on the right chest wall and the second case presented with chest pain on the right side. In the second case, a diagnosis of hemangiopericytoma was established by core needle biopsy. Arterial embolization of the feeding vessels of the tumor was performed to reduce intraoperative blood loss in the second patient. The tumor was radically removed in both patients.en_US
