Publication: Çocuk Genel Polikliniğinde Ebeveyn Memnuniyeti ve Etkileyen Etmenlerin Araştırılması
Abstract
Genel Pediatri Bilim Dalı Polikliniğine Başvuran Ebeveynlerin Memnuniyeti ve Etkileyen Etmenlerin AraştırılmasıAmaç: Hastaların aldıkları sağlık hizmetlerinden memnuniyetleri verilen hizmetlerin niteliğini değerlendirmede önemli ölçütlerden biri olmuştur. Hastaların çocuk olmaları nedeniyle değerlendirmenin net olarak yapılamayacağı durumlarda ise hasta yakınlarının görüşlerine başvurulmuş ve ebeveyn memnuniyeti ön plana çıkmıştır. Çalışmamızda Genel Pediatri Polikliniğine başvuran hastaların ebeveynlerinden alınan bilgiler doğrultusunda ebeveynlerin memnuniyet düzeylerinin belirlenmesi ve ebeveyn memnuniyetini etkileyen faktörlerin tespit edilmesi amaçlanmıştır.Gereç ve Yöntem: İleriye dönük ve tanımlayıcı bu çalışma, Ondokuz Mayıs Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Genel Pediatri Polikliniğine 29.06.2009 ile 31.07.2009 tarihleri arasında başvuran ebeveynler arasında iletişim ve dil sorunu olmayan ve de aydınlatılmış onam formunu onaylayan 500 ebeveyn üzerinde gerçekleştirildi. Ebeveynlerin demografik özellikleri, sosyal güvenceleri, başvuru sayısı ve nedenleri, sonlanma durumları, doktor muayene sırası bekleme ve toplam kalış sürelerinin genel memnuniyet üzerine etkileri incelendi. Bulgular: Çalışmaya yaş ortalaması 34,1±8,9 olan 255'i (%51) anne, 152'si (%30,4) baba, 93'ü (%18,6) diğer hasta yakınları olmak üzere toplam 500 ebeveyn alındı. Araştırmada hastaların % 30,2'sini bir yaş altı çocuklar, % 27 `sini 1 ile 5 yaş arasındaki çocuklar, % 42,8'ini 5 yaş üzeri çocukların oluşturduğu bulundu. Ebeveynlerin % 43'ünün ilkokul mezunu, % 36,6'sını ortaokul ve lise sadece % 15'inin yüksek okul mezunu olduğu bulundu. Çocuklarını ilk defa getirenlerin yüzdesi %50,4, %7,4 hastanın 6 yada daha fazla sayıda polikliniğe geldiği, hastaların % 23,4 oranında kronik bir hastalığı olduğu, kronik hastalığı olup OMÜTF'den takipli oran yüzdesinin %15,2 olduğu bulundu. Tıbbi personel davranışı, bilgilendirme, temizlik ve konforun genel memnuniyet üzerine etkisi istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bulundu. Ebeveyn genel memnuniyet oranı %72,4 olarak hesaplandı.Sonuç: Bu tür çalışmalarla hastanelerin etkin ve verimli bir şekilde hizmet kalitesini arttırması ve toplumun beklentilerine cevap vermesi sağlanabilir.Anahtar kelimeler: Ebeveyn Memnuniyeti, ayaktan hasta, sağlık hizmeti, kalite
The Evaluation of the Satisfaction of Parents Applying to the Ondokuz Mayıs University Faculty of Medicine General Outpatient Pediatric ServiceObjective: The satisfaction of the patients receiving medical care is an important criteria in evaluating the quality of health service. In some cases in which it is impossible to evaluate the satisfaction of the patients (e.g. when patients are infants) patients? relatives? thoughts were applied for an evaluation. In our study, we aimed to assess the levels of parents? satisfaction in accordance with the information obtained from patients? parents who referred to our General Outpatient Pediatric ServiceMaterials and Methods: This prospective and descriptive study was conducted in General Pediatric Outpatient Service of Ondokuz Mayıs University Medical Faculty, between 29 of June 2009 and 31 of July 2009. Informed consent form was obtained from 500 parents with non- linguistic problem. Effects of demographic characteristics, social security status of the parents number of referring to the General Pediatric Outpatient Service, discharging from General Pediatric Outpatient Service and waiting room times on overall satisfaction .Results: 500 parents were enrolled inthis study. The mean age was 34,1±8,95, 255 (%51) were mother, 152 (%30,4) were father and 93 (%18,6) were patients? relatives. In the study, 30,2 % of patients were under 1 year-old children, 27,0 % were between 1 and 5 years-old , 42,8 % were over 5 years old, 43% of parents were primary school graduates, 36,6 % were secondary and high school graduates, only 15 % were collage graduate or higher. Parents bringing their children for the first time were % 50,4 of all parents while % 7,4 of parents brought their children more than 6 times to the clinic. Only 15,2% of all parents were treated in the Ondokuz Mayıs University Faculty of Medicine while 23,4% of all patient has cronic ilnesses. The effects of health care workers, providing the information, easy access to interviewers and cleanness and comfort of General Pedaitric Outpatient Service on overall satisfaction were found statistically significant.. The rate of parents? overall satisfaction was %72,4.Conclusion: Addressing these issues may improve the quality of on going care in hospitals and may cover the needs of society.Keywords: Parents? satisfaction, outpatient, health care, quality
