Abstract
Amaç: Türk popülasyonunda normal MRG servikal spinal kanal ve spinal kord boyutlarının yaşa ve cinsiyete ve spinal düzeye göre değişip değişmediğini belirlemek. Materyal ve Metot: Normal MRG bulgularına sahip herhangi bir sistemik hastalığı ve nörolojik semptom öyküsü bulunmayan 266 kadın – 129 erkek retrospektif değerlendirildi. Servikal spinal kanal ve spinal kordun aksiyal ve sagital görüntülerinde ön-arka çapları ve aksiyal düzelmdeki alanları erkek ve kadınlar için normal değerleri C1, C3 ve C6 seviyelerinde ölçüldü. Bulgular: Kadınlarda sagital servikal spinal kord çapı C1 düzeyinde, sagital servikal spinal kanal çapı C6 düzeyinde yaşla negatif korelasyon gösterdi (r=-0.823, P=0.044; r=-0.881, P=0.021, sırasıyla). Erkeklerde sagital servikal spinal kord ve spinal kanal çapı C1, C3 ve C6 düzeylerinde yaşla istatistiksel anlamlı farklılık tespit edilmedi (P>0.05). Kadınlarda ve erkeklerde aksiyal servikal spinal kord ve spinal kanal çapı ile spinal kord ve spinal kanal alanları C1, C3 ve C6 düzeylerinde yaşla istatistiksel anlamlı farklılık tespit edilmedi (P>0.05). Farklı yaş gruplarında farklı seviyelerde aksiyal ve sagittal servikal spinal kord ve spinal kanal çapı, aksiyal servikal spinal kanal alanı erkeklerde kadınlara göre anlamlı yüksekti (P<0.001 ve P=0.005-0.047). Aksiyal servikal spinal kord alanı C1, C3 ve C6 düzeylerinde tüm dekatlarda kadınlar ile erkekler arasında istatistiksel anlamlı farklılık yoktu (P>0.05). Sonuç: Sağlıklı bireylerde servikal spinal kanal ve kord boyutları cinsiyet ve yaş ile ilişkilidir.

In men, the sagittal diameter of the spinal canal in cervical spinal cord and C1, C3 and C6 not detected statistically significant age differences in levels (P > 0.05). In women and in men with spinal cord and spinal canal diameter axial cervical spinal cord and spinal canal areas C1, C3 and C6 not detected statistically significant age differences in levels (P > 0.05).
