Abstract
The title Schiff base compound, C<inf>14</inf>H<inf>12</inf>N <inf>2</inf>O<inf>4</inf>, is in an inter-mediate state between NH and OH tautomers. Apart from the intra-molecular O - H⋯N hydrogen bond, there are inter-molecular C - H⋯O hydrogen bonds, generating centrosymmetric R<inf>2</inf>2(18) and R<inf>2</inf>2(14) dimers. © 2009.
