(E)-2-Hydroxy-5-Methyl-3-[(4-Methyl-2-Pyridyl)-Iminomethyl]Benzaldehyde

Abstract

The title compound, C15H14N2O2, is stabilized in the solid state as an enol-imine tautomer, with one strong intra-molecular O - H⋯N hydrogen bond and four C - H⋯O and one C - H⋯N inter-molecular inter-action that generate edge-fused [S(6)R 2 2(8)R 2 2(8)R 5 4(32)] motifs. The mol-ecule is approximately planar, with a dihedral angle of 1.72 (3)° between the two aromatic rings. © International Union of Crystallography 2007.
