Abstract

The title compound, C<inf>14</inf>H<inf>12</inf>N<inf>2</inf>O <inf>4</inf>·H<inf>2</inf>O, is stabilized in the solid state as a keto-amine tautomer, with two strong intramolecular N - H⋯O, two intermolecular O - H⋯O and three intermolecular C - H⋯O hydrogen bonds. The organic molecule is approximately planar, with a dihedral angle of 1.90 (8)° between the two carbocyclic rings.
