Türkçe İsimlerde Tümleme

Abstract

Türkçe söz diziminde -mA, -mAk, -DIk, -AcAk, -(y)Iş tümleme işaretleyicileri yan cümle tümleyicisi göreviyle belirli isimlerle bir araya gelerek tümleme yapıları kurmaktadır. Tümleme yapıları cümle içerisinde üyelerini muhafaza ederek öge yönetim ilişkilerini devam ettirebilme yeteneğini sürdürür. Her isimle eş dizimlenemeyen tümleyicilerin seçiminde isimlerin istemi büyük bir önem arz eder. Bazı isimler de tıpkı fiillerde olduğu gibi söz dizimsel potansiyellerini korumaya yönelik zorunlu tümleyiciler ister. Türk dili araştırmalarında fiillerin tümleme özellikleri nispeten belirlenmesine karşın isimlerin tümleme özellikleri üzerinde pek durulmamıştır. Sözlüklerde, dil bilgisi kitaplarında bu tümleme yapılarının ve isimlerin istem bilgisine dair yeterli bilgilerin verilmediği tespit edilmiştir. Bu bilgilerin ortaya çıkarılması Türkçe dil bilgisine küçük de olsa katkı sağlayacaktır. Bu çalışma, hangi isimlerin hangi tümleme işaretleyicilerini seçerek bir tümleme yapısı oluşturduğunu belirlemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Çalışmada adlaşma, istem ve tümleme kavramları ele alınarak bu yapıların söz dizimindeki işlevleri incelenmiştir. Sezgisel değerlendirmelerin ötesine geçerek derlem verileriyle yapılan analizler sonucunda isimlerin hangi tümleme işaretleyicileriyle eş dizimlenme eğiliminde oldukları tespit edilmiştir. Çalışmanın ilerleyen bölümlerinde tümleme yapısı isteyen 107 isim Türkçe ve yabancı kökenli olmak üzere sınıflandırılmış, her bir isim başlığı altına farklı tümleme işaretleyicileriyle oluşturulan cümleler sıralanmış ve yorumlanmıştır. Sonuç bölümünde elde edilen bulgular sırayla sunulduktan sonra isimlerin hangi tümleme işaretleyicisini seçtiğini ve derlemde ne sıklıkla kullanıldığını gösteren tablo ile çalışma noktalanmıştır.

In Turkish syntax, the complement markers -mA, -mAk, -DIk, -AcAk, -(y)Iş come together with certain nouns as complements of subordinate clauses and form complement structures. Complement structures preserve their members within the sentence and maintain the ability to continue element management relations. The valency of nouns is of great importance in the selection of complements that cannot be collocated with every noun. Some nouns, just like verbs, require obligatory complements in order to preserve their syntactic potential. Although the complement properties of verbs have been relatively determined in Turkish language studies, the complement properties of nouns have not been emphasized much. It has been determined that sufficient information is not given in dictionaries and grammar books about these complement structures and valency information of nouns. Revealing this information will contribute to Turkish grammar, albeit small. This study aims to determine which nouns choose which complement markers to form a complement structure. The study examines the concepts of nominalization, valency and complementation, and the functions of these structures in syntax. Moving beyond intuitive evaluations, analyses conducted with corpus data have determined which complement markers nouns tend to collocate with. In the following sections of the study, 107 nouns requiring complement structures were classified as Turkish and foreign origin, and sentences formed with different complement markers were listed and interpreted under each noun title. After presenting the findings in the conclusion section, the study was concluded with a table showing which complement markers the nouns chose and how frequently they were used in the corpus.
