Öğretmen Adaylarının Ekolojik Ayak İzinin Bazı Demografik Değişkenlere Göre İncelenmesi

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı öğretmen adaylarının ekolojik ayak izi farkındalık düzeylerinin belirlenmesi ve bazı değişkenler bağlamında değerlendirilmesidir. Çalışma 2017–2018 eğitim öğretim yılı bahar döneminde Fen Bilgisi Öğretmenliği, Sosyal Bilgiler Öğretmenliği, Sınıf Öğretmenliği, Yabancı Diller Eğitimi (Almanca, İngilizce ve Fransızca Öğretmenliği) ve Güzel Sanatlar Eğitimi (Resim ve Müzik Öğretmenliği) bölümlerinin 1. ve 4. sınıflarında öğrenim gören 410 öğretmen adayı ile yürütülmüştür. Araştırma genel tarama modelinde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın değişkenleri cinsiyet, sınıf, bölüm, yerleşim birimi, aylık gelir ve anne-babanın eğitim durumudur. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak bir anket formu kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde betimsel istatistik teknikleri, değişkenlerin karşılaştırılmasında bazı boyutlar için parametrik, bazı boyutlarda ise parametrik olmayan testlerden faydalanılmıştır. Araştırmadan elde edilen veriler incelendiğinde öğretmen adaylarının ekolojik ayak izi farkındalık düzeylerinin cinsiyet, yerleşim birimi ve baba eğitim durumu değişkenlerine göre farklılık göstermediği sonucuna varılmıştır. Aylık gelir değişkeninde sadece enerji boyutunda farklılık görülmüştür. Anne eğitim düzeyi değişkeninde ise sadece su boyutunda farklılık görüldüğü saptanmıştır. Öğretmen adaylarının ekolojik ayak izi farkındalık düzeylerinde öğrenim gördükleri bölümün büyük bir etkiye sahip olduğu anlaşılmıştır.

The aim of this study is to determine ecological footprint awareness levels of the candidate teachers and to evaluate them in the context of some variables. Study was conducted with in the spring term of 2017-2018 academic year, candidate teachers who study in the 1st and 4th grades of the departments of Science Education, Social Studies Education, Primary School Teaching, Foreign Language Education (German, English and French Language Teaching) and Fine Arts Education (Painting and Music Education). The research was carried out in the general survey model. The variables of the study are gender, class, department, residential unit, monthly income and education of parents. A survey was used as a data collection tool. In the analysis of the data, descriptive statistics techniques, parametric for some dimensions and nonparametric tests in some dimensions were used to compare the variables. When the data obtained from the study were examined, it was concluded that the ecological footprint awareness levels of the candidate teachers did not differ according to gender, settlement unit and father's educational status. The monthly income variable only differed in energy size. On the level of mother education variable was found to differ only in water saving dimension. It was understood that the department where the students were educated in ecological footprint awareness level had a great effect.
