Spor Bilimleri Fakültesinde Eğitim Gören Öğrencilerin Olumsuz Değerlendirilme Korkusu ve Empatik Eğilim Düzeylerinin Sportmenlik Yönelimi Üzerindeki Etkisi

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı spor bilimleri fakültesinde eğitim gören öğrencilerin olumsuz değerlendirilme korkusu ve empatik eğilim düzeylerinin sportmenlik yönelimi üzerindeki etkisinin incelenmesidir. Aynı zamanda katılımcıların olumsuz değerlendirilme korkusu, empatik eğilim ve sportmenlik yönelimleri düzeyleri demografik değişkenlere göre de karşılaştırılmıştır. Araştırmanın evrenini Türkiye'de spor eğitimi veren yükseköğretim kurumlarında eğitim almakta olan öğrenciler oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada veriler öğrencilerden anket yolu ile toplanmıştır. Araştırmada verilerin toplanması için; araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanan kişisel bilgi formu ile geçerliliği ve güvenirliği yapılmış olan çok boyutlu sportmenlik yönelimi, empatik eğilim, olumsuz değerlendirilme korkusu ölçekleri kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın tüm verileri SPSS 23.0 paket programında analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmada verilerin normal dağılım gösterip göstermediğini ölçmek için Shapiro-Wilk testi uygulanmıştır. Araştırmada kullanılan veriler normal dağılım göstermediği için non parametrik testler kullanılmıştır. Çalışmada ikili grupların karşılaştırılmasında Mann Whitney U testi, üç veya daha fazla grubun karşılaştırılmasında Kruskal Wallis testi uygulanmıştır. Veriler normal dağılım varsayımını karşılamadığı için regresyon analizi genelleştirilmiş tahmin denklemleri yöntemi ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda katılımcıların empatik eğilim ve olumsuz değerlendirilme korkusunun sportmenlik yönetimi üzerinde anlamlı bir etkisinin olduğu belirlenmiştir. Katılımcıların empatik eğilim düzeyleri ve olumsuz değerlendirme korkuları arttıkça onların sportmenlik yönelimi puanları da artmaktadır.

The aim of this study is to examine the effect of fear of negative evaluation and empathic tendency levels on sportsmanship orientation of students studying at the faculty of sports sciences. At the same time, the participants' fear of negative evaluation, empathic tendency and sportsmanship orientation levels were compared according to demographic variables. The data of the research consists of students studying in higher education institutions that provide sports education in Turkey. In the study, data were collected from students through a survey. To collect data in the research; a personal information form prepared by the researcher, multidimensional sportsmanship orientation, empathic tendency and fear of negative evaluation scales were used. All data of the study were analyzed in the SPSS 23.0 package program. In the study, the Shapiro-Wilk test was applied to measure whether the data showed normal distribution. Since the data used in the research did not show a normal distribution, non-parametric tests were used. In the study, the Mann Whitney U test was used to compare two groups, and the Kruskal Wallis test was used to compare three or more groups. Since the data did not meet the normal distribution assumption, regression analysis was carried out with the generalized estimating equations. As a result of the research, it was determined that the participants' empathic tendency and fear of negative evaluation had a significant effect on sportsmanship management. As the participants' empathic tendency levels and fear of negative evaluation increase, their sportsmanship orientation scores also increase.
