1920 Ruhu Nedir?

Abstract

Son yıllarda resmi açıklamalarda ve yanı sıra medyada sıkça rastladığımız bir söylem var: 1920 ruhuna dönmek. Elinizdeki makale, bu söylemden hareketle 1920li yılların başına gitmekte ve tarihselliği içinde 1920 ruhu nedir? sorusuna yanıt aramaktadır. Biten bir imparatorlukla, ortaya çıkan bir ulus-devlet arasında, yakın tarihimizin en köklü oluşları ve olguları görülür. Makale bu tarihsel koşullarda, BMMnin ilk gününden 1921 Anayasasına uzanan sürecin izini sürmektedir. 23 Nisan 1920de açılan Büyük Millet Meclisi, 1922 sonuna kadar ulusal kurtuluş savaşını-milli mücadeleyi yönetmiştir. Bu süreçte bütün düşünce ve yegâne görev Türkiye halkını emperyalizmin zulmünden kurtarmaktır. Döneme rengini ve ruhunu veren temel dinamik de budur.

Return to the spirit of 1920 is a common discourse that we have been come across in Turkey in the last few years. This article aims to clarify the meaning of the spirit of 1920 in a historical perspective. The most drastic cases of Turkish history is seen between a completed empire and the emergence of a nation-state. This article follows up the extending process from the first day of Grand National Assembly of Turkey to the 1921 Constitution. The Parliament opened on 23 April 1920 directed the national liberation-war till the end of 1922. To rescue the people of Turkey from the oppression of imperialism was the unique task in this process. That is the basic dynamic that gives spirit to the 1920.
