Şehit ailelerinin sosyo-kültürel seviyeleri: Ordu ili örneği

Abstract

Türkiye'de 1984'ten sonra yoğunlaşan terör eylemlerinde, binlerce insanın hayatını kaybettiği, insanların yaşam hakkına yönelik bir tehdidin bulunduğu ve bunun halen devam ettiği bir gerçektir. Türkiye'nin hem enerji kaynaklarına yakın Ortadoğu'nun kıyısında Avrupa'ya açılan kapı olması hem de tarihsel ve kültürel bağlamda etkin bir ülke konumunda olması, emperyalist güçlerin vekâlet savaşları olarak terörü durdurucu/caydırıcı bir güç olarak görmelerini sağlamaktadır. Türkiye'nin uzun zamandır yaşadığı terör olayları ve verdiği karşı mücadele bu bağlamda değerlendirilebilir. Şüphesiz Türkiye'nin savunma stratejisi terörle mücadele biçimi yeni maliyetler getirmektedir. Terörün ülkeye yüklediği iktisadi maliyet, işgücü kaybı ve göç unsurunun yanında askeri harcamalar ülke ekonomisine olumsuz etkilemektedir. Aynı şekilde terörle mücadele, artan kamu harcamaları nedeniyle makroekonomik açıdan Türkiye'nin bölgesel kalkınmışlığına, sosyal adalete ve yatırım hizmetlerinin dağılımını da olumsuz etkilemektedir. Türkiye'de şehitlik olgusu üzerinde, askere alma usul ve esaslarının uygulandığı normlar belirleyicidir. Ayrıca, sosyo-kültürel değerler ile toplumsal kabuller açısından dini ve kültürel yapılar da şehitlik olgusunda belirleyici birer faktördür. Bu bağlamda, toplumsal bir algı olan şehitlik olgusunu açıklamak için, şehit ailelerinin sosyokültürel düzeylerinin bilinmesinin önemli bir sosyolojik unsur olduğunu söyleyebiliriz. Aynı şekilde şehitlik kavramının toplum üzerinde birleştirici bir güce sahip olduğu şehit cenazelerinin defnedilmesi esnasında görülen sosyal ilişkiler ağından anlaşılabilmektedir.

As a result of the terrorist acts intensified after 1984 in Turkey, it is a fact that thousands of people lost their lives, that there is a threat to people's right to life, and that this still continues. The fact that Turkey is both the gateway to Europe on the coast of the Middle East, which is close to energy resources and its position as a historically and culturally active country, has caused the imperialist powers to use terrorism as a stopping/deterrent force for proxy wars. The terrorist incidents that Turkey has experienced for a long time and its counter-struggle can be evaluated in this context. Undoubtedly, Turkey's defense strategy, the way it fights terrorism, brings additional costs. In addition to immigration, the economic cost, loss of labor, and military expenditures imposed on the country by terrorism have a negative impact on the country's economy. Likewise, increasing public expenditures while fighting terrorism negatively affects Turkey's regional development, social justice, and the distribution of investment services in terms of macroeconomics. The norms in which the procedures and principles of conscription are applied are determinative of the phenomenon of martyrdom in Turkey. In addition, religious and cultural structures in terms of socio-cultural values and social acceptances are also determining factors in the phenomenon of martyrdom. In this context, we can say that knowing the sociocultural levels of the families of martyrs is an important sociological element in order to explain the phenomenon of martyrdom, which is social perception. Likewise, the concept of martyrdom can be understood as a unifying power on the society from the social relations network seen during the burial of martyrs' funerals.
