Application of some o,o '-dihydroxyazo dyes containing an acryloyloxy group and their chromium complexes on nylon and wool
Abstract
The synthesis of acryloyloxy-o,o'-dihydroxyazo dyes and their chromium complexes is described by IR, UV-vis, and H-1-NMR spectroscopic techniques, magnetic susceptibility, thin-layer chromatography, and elemental analysis. The synthesized dyes and complexes are applied to wool and nylon fabric. Fastness to light, washing, and rubbing of the dyed fabrics is measured and discussed.
