Abstract

The title compound, C16H14N4O2, was synthesized by the reaction of o-phthalaldehyde and 5-methyl-4,5-dihydroisoxazol-3-ylamine in dichloromethane. The conformation of the mol-ecular structure may be influenced by a weak intra-molecular C-(HN)-N-... interaction and weak C-H-...pi interactions, and pi-pi stacking interactions may influence the crystal packing.
