Tetramethylammonium hydrogen 4,5-dichlorophthalate

Abstract

In the title compound, C4H12 (+) (.) C8H3Cl2O4-, the hydrogen 4,5-dichlorophthalate ions are linked to the tetramethylammonium ions through C-H (.) (.) (.) O hydrogen bonds, generating two edge-fused motifs, viz. R-2(1)(6) and S(7) R-1(2)(7). The cation and all atoms of the anion lie on a mirror plane.
