Abstract

The title Schiff base compound, C18H14N2O3, has an intermediate state between NH and OH tautomers. The molecular structure is stabilized by an O-H center dot center dot center dot N hydrogen bond. The dihedral angle between the naphthalene ring system and the benzene ring is 37.44 (5)degrees.
